In cooperation with the Council, the Project analyzed the training needs of the Office’s staff, in order to improve their competencies necessary for more efficient work and performance.
A comprehensive analysis was conducted within each organizational unit separately, with the presence of 38 employees in total, from all organizational units of the Office as well as with the Project experts. With the joint analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the Office and its units, the training needs of the Office staff were defined in order for them to be more efficient.
Through discussion with the participants, the Office needs were identified and mapped, as defined by the staff themselves. In this process, they agreed in the steps that would be conducive for transforming the identified weaknesses into strengths, as well as to avoid potential threats to the Office, the team and individuals.
The employees filled out a questionnaire, designed by the National Academy of Public Administration, where they assessed the competencies needed for their tasks to be performed, and, accordingly, they assessed their own training needs for improvement of their work and performance. This information was included in the proposed staff development plan for the Office within a two-year period, to be submitted to the Office for amendments and adoption.
